CHICAGO (May 24, 2018) – Danny Sutton Farrell (Westlake Village, Calif./Westlake) has been added to the 2019 Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball roster, head coach
Mark Hulse announced today. A 6-foot-8 middle blocker, Farrell has played for SMBC 18 Pali in Santa Monica.
"Danny will provide us with some much-needed depth at the middle spot right away, and he's had some great experience playing at a high level in the club circuit," Hulse said. "He's got a good, long frame, has been well trained technically, and has a drive to improve. We look forward to seeing him battle it out with the other great young middles we have on the roster."
Farrell was a two-time All-Marmonte League honoree while playing for Westlake High School.
Loyola is coming off of a 23-7 season in which it shared the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular season championship. The Ramblers' 23 wins were their most since winning the second of back-to-back NCAA championships in 2015.
Hulse will welcome back three starters plus a libero from this year's team, including American Volleyball Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-Americans
Collin Mahan and
Garrett Zolg.
