CHICAGO (July 9, 2018) – London Dokubo, who has spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at Loyola University Chicago, has been named men's basketball video coordinator, head coach
Porter Moser announced today. Dokubo also spent a season as a volunteer assistant on Moser's staff after playing four seasons at Loyola.
"London is a former player who has been a valuable member of our staff as a graduate assistant while pursuing his master's degree in business administration the last few seasons" Moser said. "He is a huge part of the culture of Loyola basketball, is a high-energy individual who has a great feel for the game, and gives continuity to our staff."
Last season, the Schaumburg native served as a graduate assistant coach, helping the Ramblers to an unforgettable year during which they won a program-record 32 games and reached the NCAA Final Four for the first time since winning the national championship in 1963. Over the last two seasons as a graduate assistant, Dokubo has played a pivotal role in the team recording 50 total wins, the team's first NCAA tournament berth since 1985 and a No. 7 ranking in the
USA Today Coaches Poll in 2017-18.
A former player for Moser and the Ramblers, Dokubo arrived in Rogers Park as a walk-on before earning a scholarship for his senior season in 2014-15, during which Loyola captured the title at the College Basketball Invitational (CBI).
Dokubo graduated from Loyola in 2015 with a degree in sports management and marketing and this spring earned a master's degree in business administration from Loyola.
