CHICAGO (September 23, 2019) – Another season of Loyola University Chicago basketball is right around the corner. Get the inside scoop on the 2019-20 season by attending the annual Loyola Basketball Tip-Off Luncheon, which will take place October 30 at The Union League Club of Chicago (65 W. Jackson Blvd.). Doors open at 11 a.m., with lunch to be served at 11:30 a.m.

Highlighting the event will be comments on the upcoming season from Ramblers men's coach
Porter Moser and women's coach
Kate Achter. Former Loyola men's soccer player and current 670 The Score host Mike Mulligan
will once again serve as the emcee of the luncheon.

Loyola's men's program, which reached the NCAA Final Four in 2018, is coming off a 20-win season that included a trip to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The Ramblers' 52 wins over the last two years ties a program record and they have made three trips to the postseason and collected 109 wins over the last five campaigns. Moser has piloted Loyola to back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championships and has coached the last two Valley Player of the Year award winners.

The arrow has been pointing up for the Loyola women's program and Achter, who is entering her fourth year as head coach, will look to crack the upper echelon of teams in the The Valley this winter. She will lean heavily on junior
Abby O'Connor, who was a First Team All-MVC pick a year ago, as well as 2019 MVC All-Freshman Team picks
Janae Gonzales and
Allison Day.
