The Strength and Conditioning program at the Loyola University Chicago is a comprehensive system incorporating all aspects of athletic performance including strength development, injury prevention and nutrition. Our program is a long-term process involving the improvement of the fundamental physical qualities and skills that are necessary for competition. In short, Loyola Strength creates a transformative environment to build the complete athlete and prepare them to lead extraordinary lives.

Internship Program
The internship program at Loyola University Chicago is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of a career in collegiate strength and conditioning by giving them the skills to become successful and effective coaches. Since the work load will be demanding, prospective interns must be committed to strength and conditioning to ensure a realistic understanding of the profession and working with division 1 student-athletes. Internship expectations begin with organizational duties such as setup and facility upkeep but will increase in scope as initiative and reliability is recognized by the strength staff. At the conclusion of the each semester long internship an evaluation will be based on feedback provided by the strength staff according to the level at which the intern meets expectations.
