Corey Oshikoya is in his first season as an Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine at Loyola. Oshikoya comes to Chicago after 16 seasons as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Denver Broncos.
Oshikoya had spent the previous 17 years in the National Football League, doing internships with the Dallas Cowboys (Summer 1996) and Miami Dolphins (1998) before his stint with the Broncos.
Very active among professional organizations, Oshikoya has presented frequently at the National Athletic Trainers' Association annual symposium and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers' Association's symposium. He received the 2014 West Virginia University Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series award and the 2010 Tim Davey Assistant Athletic Trainer of the Year award, which was presented by the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society. Oshikoya served two terms as the president of the Colorado Athletic Trainers' Association and was also the Colorado representative to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers' Association.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia in 1997 and gained his Master of Education in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine in 1998 from the University of Virginia.
