Lindsey Toman is in her second season as an assistant athletic trainer at Loyola. Among her daily duties, Toman works to ensure daily injury prevention, administer treatment and direct injury rehabilitation programs. She is also responsible for injury documentation and ensuring that each athlete is cleared for NCAA competition.
Toman, who serves as the athletic trainer for Loyola's women's basketball and cross country teams, arrived in Chicago after five years with the same title at Drexel University. While there, she worked with the women's basketball, men's and women's crew teams and the dance and cheer squads.
She moved to the City of Brotherly Love after a stint as graduate assistant athletic trainer at Minnesota State-Mankato, where she oversaw sports medicine for the school's NCAA Div. I women's ice hockey team as well as, the men's ice hockey, women's soccer, women's basketball, football, baseball and track and field teams.
Toman is a 2006 graduate of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in athletic training and a minor in strength and conditioning and she earned her Master of Human Performance degree at Minnesota State-Mankato in 2008.
Toman is a Certified Athletic Trainer and also holds certification from the American Heart Association. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
