The Loyola Athletics Department offers both paid and volunteer opportunities designed to provide interested Loyola students valuable experience in a Division I athletics department. Loyola Athletics relies on these student positions to provide a tremendous fan experience at our events and increase brand awareness in the campus and Chicago community. Available positions include both office hours and game-day work, which requires nights and weekends. Students who are work study eligible are given preference. Graduate Mentor: Student-Athlete Academics
Open only for graduate level students. Position helps support the day-to-day operations of the student-athlete academic services department. Position provides mentorship and academic assistance to student-athletes. Ideal candidates possess strong interpersonal skills. Videography/Camera OperatorÂ
Students operate cameras at Rambler Basketball and Volleyball games, documenting athletic highlights, filming fan cams, producing content for various social media platforms, and directing a broadcast during the in-game show. Interest in college athletics is a must. Prior experience with video or photography cameras and editing software is preferred but not required.

Fan Experience & Promotions (filled for 2025-26)
Assist with game day promotions, game giveaways, and other fan initiatives at basketball, volleyball, soccer, and softball games. Students help implement and execute marketing plans and promotional activities for designated sports, contributing towards efforts to increase attendance and enhance the fan experience. Â

Ticket Sales & Operations (hiring for 2025-26)
Students serve as game day ticket office staff, providing a high level of customer service to fans, setting up ticket operations, handling cash and credit orders, managing the team guest lists, and problem solving customer issues. Students will learn to proficiently operate AudienceView, the Loyola Athletics ticket software. Hours in the office and at events are available.Â

Equipment and Facility Services (filled for 2025-26)
Students provide assistance with game operations and athletics facilities, while managing the maintenance and operation of the athletics laundry room. This position also assists with ordering equipment, gear, and supplies and tracks inventory.Â

Athletics Communications (filled for 2025-26)
Students are needed in the communications office to assist with the publicity of Loyola's 15 athletic programs, keep statistics at games, assist with game-day duties, conduct research projects, and write recaps on LoyolaRamblers.com.Â

Creative Services
Students are needed in the creative service office to assist in the creation of graphic assets used for marketing, recruiting, and social media promotion. Students will also learn and assist with digital strategies used to promote the department on social media. Ideal candidates should possess knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as social media programs such as Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook.Â

The Pack Marketing Internship (filled for 2025-26)
Students are selected each year to provide leadership to The Pack, the official student section of Loyola Athletics. Pack interns assist the marketing team with creating and implementing ideas to increase student attendance and improve the game day experience for students, manage The Pack social media accounts, assist with game day promotions, and represent athletics at various events and functions. Ideal candidates possess a passion for Loyola Athletics, a positive attitude, enthusiasm, responsibility, and initiative. Internships are on a volunteer basis but available for class credit.Â

On-Court Emcee
Loyola Athletics seeks energetic and passionate students to serve as on-court emcee during home basketball and volleyball games. Emcees host on-court promotions and engage with fans and promote excitement for the Ramblers, while being on camera and using a microphone at Gentile Arena.Â

Summer Internships
The Loyola Athletics Department offers summer internship opportunities designed for students to earn internship course credit and gain valuable experience in a Division I athletics department. Positions are unpaid and timing will depend on student's summer class schedule and internship requirements. General Athletics Administration
Develop a basic understanding of departmental structure, leadership, organizational dynamics, and leadership skills while working directly with the Deputy Athletics Director and other department leadership with general department and personnel management.

Assist the Associate AD for Compliance with recruiting educational materials, monitoring countable athletically related activity reports, processing bylaw interpretation requests, camp and clinic approval process, and participate in athletic-related financial aid administration.
