Oliver Daddario

  • Title
    Volunteer Assistant Coach

Oliver Daddario is set to begin his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Loyola University Chicago track & field team. Daddario, a three-year letterwinner with the Ramblers, works primarily with the team's throwers.

"We are excited to have Oliver back serving as our throws coach," Loyola head track & field coach Randy Hasenbank said. "He was part of our conference championship team during his time as an undergrad here at Loyola. Oliver learned a lot under Coach (Pat) McGarry and we are very pleased that he has come back to share his knowledge and passion for the sport."

After spending his freshman year at Hofstra, Daddario arrived in Rogers Park prior to the 2010-11 season. The Gloucester, Mass. native wasted little time in making an impact as he crushed a school record in the javelin by nearly 40 feet.

As a junior, Daddario made his debut on the track and provided a boost to the Maroon & Gold. He helped the 4x400m relay team to a runner-up finish at the 2012 Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships and also contributed to the team score in the 800m run at the league meet.

Daddario racked up a handful of top-ten finishes during his senior campaign. His top weight throw toss of the indoor campaign of 11.88m came at the 2013 Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships. In the final appearance of his collegiate career, Daddario notched a seventh-place finish (45.88m) in the javelin throw at the outdoor league meet.
