Loyola Men’s Basketball Signs Igor Cvorovic

Sept. 29, 2016

CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago men’s basketball coach Porter Moser announced today the signing of Igor Cvorovic to a National Letter of Intent. A native of Niksic, Montenegro, Cvorovic played for KK Sutjeska Niksic in 2015-16 and for Montenegro in the U18 European Championship in 2014.

“Igor has a tremendous will to be great and possesses length, athleticism and runs the floor like a guard,” Moser said. “He has to gain strength but has shown commitment in the weight room. His mobility and skill level are what fits us as we try to play a more up-tempo brand of basketball.”

A 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward, Cvorovic joins a large, but talented, cast of newcomers for 2016-17. Loyola’s roster will feature 10 fresh faces, including Marques Townes, who must sit out the 2016-17 campaign after transferring from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Loyola raises the curtain on the regular season on November 11 when it hosts Alcorn State.
