Kevin White paced the attack for the Loyola University Chicago cross country teams in the Sean Earl collegiate races at the 41
st Annual Loyola Lakefront Invitational today at Montrose Beach in Chicago, Ill.

The Rambler women accumulated 232 points to finish eighth in the team standings, finishing in front of power five foes Texas A&M (253) and Nebraska (304), while Loyola's men's side came in 15
th with 403 points. Grand Valley State (59) claimed the men's team crown, while Princeton (65) took home the women's title.Â

Brewis spearheaded Loyola's efforts in the women's 5k race. The Dearborn, Mich. product came across in 17:05.67 to battle her way into the top 10, finishing ninth overall. Sophomore
Mimi Reimers continued the strong start her to her second season with the Maroon & Gold, besting the 18-minute mark as she checked in at 17:58.13 to claim 43
rd.Â

Rita Maurais and freshman
Claire Hengesbaugh were separated by just over two seconds. Maurais took 61
st at 18:12.26, while Hengesbaugh came in at 18:14.83 to finish 64
th. Freshman
Anya Brett rounded out Loyola's top five, finishing 90
th at 18:30.94.

In the men's 8k race, White led the way for the Maroon & Gold for the first time this season. An Honorable Mention All-MVC selection in 2017, White posted a time of 25:13.51 to take 42
nd. Junior
Derek Rink, who led the Ramblers in their first two events of the 2018 campaign, came through in 25:35.18 as he finished 86
th.

Sophomore
Kenny Wallace clocked in at 25:43.78, taking 98
th. The freshman pairing of
Stephen Pipilas and
Christos Papoulias claimed the fourth and fifth spots for the Ramblers. Pipilas placed 112
th in 25:49.47, while Papoulias came in eight seconds back at 25:57.86 to come in 131
st.

Loyola caps off the regular season portion of its 2018 schedule in just under two weeks on October 12 at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Ill.
