Happy 100th Birthday Sister Jean!

Loyola men’s basketball team chaplain celebrates milestone birthday Wednesday

CHICAGO (August 21, 2019) – Loyola University Chicago men's basketball team chaplain and campus icon Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, BVM, is celebrating her 100th birthday today! The Loyola community will have a party for her on campus later today to mark her milestone birthday.
 
In celebration of Sister's 100th birthday, Loyola has created the Worship, Work, Win Fund to honor the life of our beloved Sister Jean and to assure that her legacy at Loyola and Rambler Athletics will last for centuries to come. To help reach the goal of $100,000 to support athletics excellence and student-athlete welfare, which are areas of particular interest to Sister Jean, please visit www.luc.edu/sisterswish.
