CHICAGO (January 19, 2021) – Nine matches at home highlight the 2021 Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball schedule, which was revealed today by head coach Mark Hulse. The Ramblers are coming off an abbreviated 2020 season that was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Loyola will raise the curtain on the 2021 campaign January 22 when it hosts Lincoln Memorial in a non-conference matchup before welcoming Queens to Rogers Park the following day. Six of the Ramblers' next eight matches will be played away from Chicago, starting with a January 29 trip to Saint Francis (Pa.), which will be immediately followed by a showdown with NJIT the next afternoon in Loretto, Pa. 
 
The Ramblers open Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) action at Quincy (Feb. 5 and 6) before returning home for a pair of league matches versus Lindenwood (Feb. 12 and 13). A trip to Columbus, Ohio for a series with Ohio State (Feb. 20 and 21) leads into the first of a home-and-home set with Purdue Fort Wayne, with the Mastodons making the trip to Chicago to close out the month on February 25.
 
Another meeting with Purdue Fort Wayne (March 12), this one on the road, kicks off a slate of five matches in the month of March that includes a home series with McKendree (March 18 and 19) and a two-game set at Ball State (March 26 and 27).  Prior to the MIVA Tournament, the Ramblers close out the regular season with a pair of rivalry matches with Lewis (April 1 and 2) in Rogers Park.
 
Fans will not be permitted to attend at this season's home matches, which will be played at the Alfie Norville Practice Facility. 
 
Loyola won two of its final three outings last year and welcomes back 2020 MIVA Newcomer of the Year Cole Schlothauer as well as two-time American Volleyball Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-America setter Garrett Zolg.
