CHICAGO (March 15, 2021) – Allyson Ivey (Hamilton, Ohio/Ross), a senior first baseman on the Loyola University Chicago softball team, has been named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week after playing a key role in the Ramblers splitting four contests at the Billiken Spring Invitational over the weekend.

Ivey had a monster weekend at the Billiken Spring Tournament, hitting safely in all four contests, going a staggering 9-for-14 (.643) with eight RBI, two doubles, a pair of home runs and four runs scored.

The senior first baseman had two or more hits in three of the Ramblers' games last weekend in St. Louis and posted a .688 on-base percentage and a 1.214 slugging percentage. She opened the tournament by going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a victory over Western Illinois on March 13 and the following day against the Leathernecks had another three-hit performance, and drove in three runs, while walking twice and stealing a base.Â

The 2019 First Team All-MVC pick closed out the weekend by going 2-for-4 with a pair of two-base hits and two RBI in an 11-9 loss to Saint Louis.Â

For the year, Ivey is hitting .400 (18-for-45) with 11 RBI, three doubles and three homers to go with a .491 on-base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage.
