CHICAGO (March 28, 2021) – With the postseason looming, the Loyola University Chicago women's golf team will play in its first of two events hosted by Missouri Valley Conference foes at the start of the week when it competes at the Diane Daugherty Invitational in Kirkwood, Mo.

Play at the Greenbriar Hills Country Club (par 71; 6,042 yards) is slated to begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday and will include the opening 36 holes of action. Final-round play will also get underway with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.Â

The Ramblers will have the opportunity to see where the stack up against a handful of their Valley counterparts, with Southern Illinois, the event host, Bradley, Drake, Illinois State, Indiana State, Missouri State, UNI, and Valparaiso all slated to be in attendance. Arkansas State, Central Michigan, Creighton, Lindenwood, Lipscomb, Omaha, and South Dakota round out the 16-team field.

The Maroon & Gold is coming off a record-setting performance back at the Spring Break Shootout in Dade City, Fla. Led by Thielbar, who fired a four-over-par 217 (69-76-72), setting a new 54-hole program record, the Ramblers finished the three-day event with a team score of 910 (297-308-305), besting the program's previous 54-hole low team total by four strokes.

Loyola closes out the regular season portion of its 2021 spring schedule at the Redbird Invitational in Normal, Ill., April 9-10.
