CHICAGO (January 17, 2022) – For the first time this season, the Loyola University Chicago men's basketball team is ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, checking in at No. 22 today. The Ramblers (13-2, 4-0 MVC) were ranked for in the AP Poll from February 8 through the final rankings of the season in 2020-21.

Prior to last season, Loyola had not been ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll since 1984-85. Since the 2017-18 campaign, the Ramblers have finished the season ranked in the Coaches Top 25 Poll twice, checking in at No. 7 after reaching the NCAA Final Four in 2017-18 and at No. 12 last year after a run to the NCAA Sweet 16.

Loyola, which is one of three Jesuit institutions ranked in this week's AP Top 25 Poll, brings a nine-game win streak into tomorrow night's contest at Evansville (4-11, 0-4 MVC).Â
