CHICAGO (October 3, 2022) – A bevy of former Loyola University Chicago men's basketball players have recently tipped off their 2022-23 professional seasons. A total of eight Ramblers will be playing professional basketball either overseas or in the United States this season.

Marques Townes, who is playing for Duna Aszfalt in Hungary, opened his 2022-23 season over the weekend, as did Milton Doyle, who is suiting up for the Tasmania JackJumpers in the Australian NBL. Doyle put up 13 points, six assists and three steals in an 84-79 loss to SE Melbourne on October 1, while Townes tallied seven points, six assists and a pair of thefts as Duna Aszfalt took down Hubner NBS, 79-55, on September 30.

Recent Loyola grad
Lucas Williamson is currently in training camp with the Los Angeles Clippers after signing an Exhibit 10 contract and he snatched a pair of rebounds in 13 minutes of play in a preseason game versus Ra'anana Maccabi on September 30. His 2021-22 Loyola teammate,
Ryan Schwieger, is competing for Rasta Vechta in the German ProA League. In an 88-61 win against Artland on October 1, Schwieger totaled 11 points, two rebounds and a pair of assists in 15 minutes off the bench.

Former Loyola All-American center Cameron Krutwig, the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, is off to a great start this season with Blackwater Bossing Elite in the Filipino PBA, averaging 14.0 points, 14.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game through two contests. In last Saturday's victory over Phoenix, he just missed a triple-double when he produced 17 points, 16 boards and seven assists.

Aher Uguak, who was a two-time MVC All-Defensive Team pick and a four-year starter during his career in Rogers Park after transferring from the University of New Mexico, recently began his pro career with the Edmonton Stingers in the Canadian Elite Basketball League and is now contributing for the Chemnitz Niners in the Basketball Champions League in Germany. The 6-foot-7 forward chipped in nine against TFT on September 21 and is tallying 4.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

Jordan Hicks, who graduated in 2013, had five points and five rebounds for Basket Esch in a Luxembourg LBBL loss to Arantia on September 24.

Donte Ingram, one of the most prolific scorers Loyola annals, produced 10 points and two helpers in 17 minutes of play in Dinamo Bucuresti's 86-83 victory versus Galati in the Romanian Liga Nationala.
