WESTLAKE, Ohio (October 3, 2022) – The Loyola University Chicago men's golf team finds themselves in a tie for ninth place after 36 holes at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational in Westlake, Ohio. Senior
Timmy Crawford paced the Ramblers overall, as he currently sits in a tie for 10
th.
Loyola opened the day with a combined 294 in their first round, placing them in a tie for second place. The Ramblers followed it up with a second-round 304, giving them a team total of 598 and putting them two shots ahead of Youngstown State (302-298=600). Oakland (295-283=578) paced the teams on the leaderboard, sitting four shots ahead of the Ramblers' Atlantic 10 rival Dayton (298-284=582).
Crawford led the attack for the Maroon & Gold after day one, opening the day with a one-over-par 72 in his first round. He followed it with a two-over-par 73 in his second round to give him a total of 145. The freshmen pairing of
Charlie Kulwin (75-75=150) and
Sebastian Kasun (77-74=151) finished a shot apart from each other, with the two of them sitting in a share of 38
th and 41
st respectively. Senior
Zach Walsh matched Crawford's first-round tally with a 72 of his own to guide him to a 154 (T-56; 72-82). Graduate student
Tyler Anderson rounded out the leaderboard for the Ramblers with a 157 (75-82) to put him in a share of 69
th.
