CHICAGO (November 14, 2022) – The Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball team, led by first-year head coach John Hawks, announced the 2023 schedule on Monday. The upcoming slate features 27 matches and 14 home contests at Gentile Arena.

The Hawks era officially begins in January with three consecutive home matches against Missouri S&T (Jan. 9), King (Jan. 12) and UC San Diego (Jan. 13). Fans will get an early look at the Ramblers with five of seven matches slated to be played inside Gentile to open the campaign. Loyola will make its first road trip when it travels to the East Coast for matchups with NJIT (Jan. 20) and LIU Brooklyn (Jan. 21), before returning to host Maryville (Jan. 27) and St. Francis Brooklyn (Jan. 28).
 
Loyola will open February with four consecutive road matches, including a trip to the West Coast for matchups against Concordia (Feb. 2) and Long Beach State (Feb. 3). The Ramblers will open conference play on the road at Quincy (Feb. 10) and Lindenwood (Feb. 11) the following weekend, before finally returning home for a pair of MIVA matches against Ball State (Feb. 16) and Ohio State (Feb. 18). After making the short drive to Lewis (Feb. 22), Loyola closes out the month at home against McKendree (Feb. 25).
 
With conference play heating up in March, Loyola will host Purdue Fort Wayne (March 4) in a rematch from last year's MIVA Tournament semifinal, before welcoming future MIVA member Queens (March 7) to Gentile.
 
The Ramblers close out the home portion of the schedule with matches against Charleston (WV) (March 16), Lewis (March 23), Lindenwood (March 31) and Quincy (April 1).
 
Loyola will make a trip to Fairfax, Va. in late March, where the Ramblers are slated to play Princeton (March 25) and George Mason (March 26). Additional road matches include visits to McKendree (March 12), Purdue Fort Wayne (March 18), before closing out the season at Ball State (April 6) and Ohio State (April 8).
 
The 2023 MIVA Tournament begins with quarterfinal matchups on April 15.
