Loyola Track & Field Releases 2022-23 Indoor Schedule

Ramblers begin slate Saturday at Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener

CHICAGO (December 2, 2022) – Piloted by second-year Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Gavin Kennedy, the Loyola University Chicago track & field program unveiled the indoor portion of its schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season on Friday morning.  The Ramblers will see action in seven regular season meets ahead of their first appearance at the Atlantic 10 Conference Indoor Championships in late February.
 
Loyola will get an early start to its indoor campaign when it competes at a pair of meets in the month of December.  The Maroon & Gold will visit Boston, Mass. on December 3 for the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener before returning home for the Blue Demon Holiday Invitational on December 9, which will be hosted at the Track & Field Center at Gately Park on Chicago's South Side.
 
The start of calendar year 2023 sees the Ramblers return to Gately Park on January 20 for the Blue Demon Alumni Classic ahead of a trip to the prestigious Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Ind., January 27-28.
 
Loyola will split squads for the only time during the indoor season the weekend of February 10-11, sending athletes to the Windy City Invitational at Gately Park and the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Mich.  Kennedy's crew will have the opportunity for final tune-ups ahead of the postseason on February 18 at the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
 
Following the completion of regular season competition, Loyola will jet east to Kingston, R.I. to compete at its first Atlantic 10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, February 25-26.
 
The University of New Mexico will play host to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, March 10-11, in Albuquerque, N.M.
 
The outdoor portion of Loyola's 2022-23 schedule will be released at a later date.
