"Another good week for us," said head men's coach
Erik Hoops. "It's always hard to beat a team at their home course and Valpo played like they owned the place. There was no catching that. However, it's still good for us to get another trophy in the office! We will always welcome those."
Crawford posted the low round of the day for the Maroon & Gold, carding three birdies in five holes to battle his way to an even par 72. Junior
Zach Walsh finished just a stroke behind him, taking advantage of nine consecutive pars on the back-nine to earn a share of 8
th with a 217 (71-72-74).
Freshman
Ryan Walsh eagled the par five first hole in his second round to match his brother's second-round even-par 72 and finish in sole possession of 26
th (77-72-75=224). Like
Zach Walsh, graduate student
Tyler Anderson (T-38, 76-74-78=228) recorded nine consecutive pars on the back nine of his second round en route to a 74, his low round of the week. Freshman

th. Fellow freshman
Charlie Kulwin (78-79-77) represented the Maroon & Gold as an individual, finishing with a share of 67

"Our freshmen continue to give important scores for us which is great to see when you are in your first few events at this level," Hoops added. "Timmy and Zach did a great job of leading us this week. They raised their level and kept us in a great spot with consistent, steady play. We've got a lot going on these next few weeks with three tournaments in a row and it's a lot easier to do that when you ride positive momentum. Happy to get is back on the course in a few days at Drake."
The Ramblers now look to carry on that momentum at the Zach Johnson Invitational, September 26-27, next week in Des Moines, Iowa.
