Tyler Anderson, the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team secured a fourth-place finish at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational in Muncie, Ind. this afternoon.

The Ramblers leave the event with a team score of 869 (290-291-289), just one stroke ahead of Northern Kentucky (290-292-289=871) and Butler (282-298-290=871), who shared fifth place.Â

Wright State (277-283-286=846) held off an early charge from host Ball State (282-283-294=859) as they took the team victory by eight strokes. Wright State's Mikkel Mathiesen (69-70-69=208) and Ball State's Joey Wiseman (71-71-66=208) shared medalist honors at two under-par with Mathiesen prevailing in a four-hole playoff.

Erik Hoops said. "Getting a top five with contribution from everyone, including the new guys, is a very good sign for our program. Just needed one or two low rounds and we could have been in the hunt, but that's golf."Â

Guided by three birdies on the back nine, Anderson's 71 was the low round of the weekend for the Maroon & Gold, propelling him to a share of 15
th (75-72-71=218). Â

Senior
Timmy Crawford was the top Rambler on the individual leaderboard, placing in the top-ten with a 216 (71-73-72) to finish tied for 8
th. Freshman
Ryan Walsh wrapped up his weekend with a final round 72 to put him in a share of 15
th(74-72-72=218) while freshman
Charlie Kulwin saw himself in a five-way tie for 33
rd with a 221 (73-74-74). Freshman
Sebastian Kasun rounded it off with a 223 (72-74-77) to end up in a tie for 44
th.

"Knowing we can have our B game and stay competitive is a good thing," Hoops added. 'We're excited to continue the rest of this fall and hopefully hunt for more trophies."

The Ramblers will look to do just that in two weeks, September 19-20, when they compete in the Valparaiso Fall Invitational in Chesterton, Ind.
