CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Chris Devaney ran in the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday morning. He posted a time of 29:39.7 to place 31^st individually.
 
Devaney's time marked a new personal best, while placing inside the top-40 earned him USTFCCCA All-American honors. It's the second consecutive year Loyola has had an All-American performer.
 
The performance capped a stellar final season for the New Zealand native. Devaney earned 11^th last weekend at the NCAA Midwest Regionals to earn his at-large bid to the Championships.
 
It came off the tails of his second straight Atlantic 10 individual and team title.
 
In the regular season, Devaney took third at the 44^th annual Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational and 22^nd in a stacked field at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.
 
This season marked the fourth straight season a Rambler has qualified for the Championship race, and second consecutive season it was a Loyola male.
