Abbott Announces 2024 Softball Schedule

The home opener falls on March 23-24 when Loyola hosts George Mason

CHICAGO – Head softball coach Alicia Abbott announced the 2024 schedule Thursday morning. This season's slate features five non-conference tournaments to open the year, a couple road trips to in-state foes, and 14 games to play at Loyola Softball Park.
 
The action leads off at the Spartan Classic hosted by USC Upsate Feb. 9-10. Over the two days, the Ramblers will play Towson, USC Upstate, Toledo, and South Carolina State.
 
Loyola heads further south the next two weekends to the Bubly Invite at Florida with the USF Tournament to follow at South Florida.
 
During the first weekend, the Ramblers will take on Charleston, Florida, and Georgia Southern over a five-game slate from Feb. 16-18. Then in Tampa Feb. 23-25, Loyola will see Washington, USF, Oklahoma State, Yale, and Pitt.
 
The Ramblers return to Illinois taking on St. Thomas, SIUE, Creighton, and Illinois State in the SIUE Cougar Invite March 1-3.
 
Tournament action will wrap March 9-10 with a pair of games against Green Bay and SIU at the Coach B Classic in Carbondale, Illinois.
 
Non-conference play continues through March with an away doubleheader at Bradley on March 20 and a single game at Northwestern on March 26.
 
Loyola's second season in the Atlantic 10 will get started at George Washington on March 16-17. The Ramblers will also play league games on the road at Dayton (March 29-30), Rhode Island (April 6-7), and Saint Joseph's (April 27-28).
 
The home opener falls on March 23-24 when Loyola hosts George Mason. The Ramblers will also play St. Bonaventure (April 13-14), Saint Louis (April 17), Massachusetts (April 20-21), and Fordham (May 4-5).
 
Fordham will play host to the A10 Championships again. Action is set to start May 8 with the championship falling on May 11.
