PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. (March 27, 2023) – After 18-holes, the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team sits in ninth at the Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.
The Ramblers combined to shoot a 291 in what proved to be a close first day of competition. Teams were tight all day as first place Valparaiso and Delaware (285) are only separated from the Maroon & Gold by six strokes.
The Ramblers were led by strong efforts from senior
Timmy Crawford and freshman
Charlie Kulwin matched each other with a pair of two-under-par 70s to place in a tie for 5
th, with the latter setting a new career-low. The pair sits just two strokes off of the individual lead. Graduate student
Tyler Anderson currently sits in a tie for 49
th with a 74 in his spring debut while senior
Zach Walsh placed in 77
th with a 77. Freshman
Dori Lee rounds out the leaderboard for the Maroon & Gold with an 81 (T-92nd).
The Ramblers are back in action on Tuesday morning, with a staggered start off of holes one and ten beginning at 6:45 a.m. (CT).
