SOUTH BEND, Ind. (April 8, 2023) – The Loyola men's golf team was in action Saturday afternoon, battling against Notre Dame and Detroit Mercy in 36-hole event, the Notre Dame Invitational.

As a team, the Ramblers finished in second with identical rounds of 300 to finish the 54-hole event at +40. Individually,
Timmy Crawford carded identical rounds of 71 to finish at two-over and in sole possession of third place on the individual leaderboard.

"I want to give a big thanks to Notre Dame for throwing this together last minute," said head coach
Erik Hoops. "Obviously it was a great competition, but even just to get on a championship course for a couple rounds of practice is just what we needed this weekend. We appreciate their hospitality."

Zach Walsh was tied for eighth on the individual leaderboard after shooting back-to-back rounds of 75 to finish 10-over.
Ryan Walsh was two shots back after carding rounds of 77 and 75 (+12).
Tyler Anderson was 13-over for the tournament (75-78) while two shots back at +15 following rounds 79 and 76.

Dori Lee (+19, 80-79),
Charlie Kulwin (+19, 77-82, and
Nolan Doherty (+29, 90-79) rounded out action for the Ramblers Saturday afternoon.

"We learned a lot about ourselves today, and playing a course like that you can very easily see things you're doing well, and things we need to get a bit better at," added Hoops.

Loyola is back in action April 15-16 at the Boilermaker Invitational.
