Valentine Adds Two on National Signing Day

CHICAGO – Head coach Drew Valentine announced the addition of two signees to Loyola Chicago men's basketball on National Signing Day. Nic Anderson and Chuck Love III will join the Ramblers in 2025-26.

"Identity is a huge part of any successful program and our staff did a great job of finding two young men that are great fits with the Loyola Identity," said Valentine. "We hit a home run with the character and belief in Loyola basketball. From a basketball standpoint, athleticism, length, defensive versatility, and shot making are at the core of what we want our wings to look like in our program, and these young men can do all of those things."

Nic Anderson | Guard | 6-4 | 180 | Olathe, Kan. – Olathe South
Anderson is a four-year letterwinner out of Kansas and is a three-star recruit via 247 Sports. Through his first three seasons, Anderson is averaging 18.5 points per game and five rebounds per game. He earned All-Conference First Team honors as both a sophomore and junior. He was tabbed All-State First Team as a sophomore and Second Team as a junior. Anderson also plays for KC Run GMC under Dan Marrow. Both his parents played collegiate basketball– dad for Robert Morris and mom for New Mexico Highlands.

Valentine on Anderson: "Nic brings so many different things to our program. First of all, he's got an infectious energy and competitive spirit that so many of our great players here have had. Secondly, he fits the mold of Sheldon Edwards Jr. and Jayden Dawson as "movers" in our offense. Guys that can really shoot it but are good ball handlers and athletes as well. Last but not least, he's another high character guy who comes from a basketball family that has been very well coached. Our coaching staff couldn't be happier to have Nic part of our program!"

Chuck Love III | Guard | 6-7 | 195 | Lincoln, Neb. – La Lumiere
Love is four-year letterwinner out of Lincoln, Nebraska and a four-star recruit via 247 Sports, ESPN, and Rivals. Through his junior season, Love is averaging 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. He set the single-game record at La Lumiere for most points scored in a game and set the season records for most field goals and three-point field goals made in a single-season. Love also plays for the Mokan Elite travel team under Pat Holmes. Basketball runs in his family. Love's dad played collegiate ball at Northwestern and Oklahoma State. His cousin played at Central Missouri before a 10-year professional career in Europe, while two other cousins played at South Florida and Kansas.

Valentine on Love: "Big versatile, skilled, and athletic wings are what's coveted in basketball at the highest levels and Chuck fits that definition perfectly. He comes from a big-time basketball family and has been very well coached his entire life playing on some of the biggest stages. We love not only Chuck's character and long-term potential but how his ability to make shots, play with a motor on both ends of the court, and IQ for the game will help him get on the floor from day one. We're hyped to have him and the entire Love family part of Rambler Nation!"
