Loyola Chicago Completes 2024-25 Freshmen Class

Valentine added two on Signing Day

CHICAGO – Head men's basketball coach Drew Valentine has completed his 2024-25 freshmen class with the addition of two student-athletes on signing day. The pair of future Ramblers joins a class of four following the signing of two back in November.

According to 247 Sports, Loyola Chicago is in the nation's top-50 recruiting class and leads the Atlantic 10. It's the highest rated freshmen class in the history of the program.

"Really excited to complete our high school class with two BIG TIME people and players," said head coach Drew Valentine. "These two young men come from elite families and prep programs that have prepared them to make a great impact from day one. Can't wait to coach them!"

Seifeldin Hendawy | Guard | 6-8 | 200 | NBA Academy Africa
Hendawy is a product of NBA Academy Africa having been born in Egypt. He helped Egypt clinch the 2021 FIBA U16 African Championship. Following the championship, he averaged 13.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in 2022. Hendawy posted two 20-point performances, including a 24 point and 10 rebound outing against Canada.

Valentine on Hendawy: "Saif is a mature and polished guard with a very good feel for the game. He's grown both his game on the floor and physically with his frame so much over the past year and we see an unbelievable fit within our style of play. He comes from a big-time basketball family, and we've loved getting to know them as well. His skill level, size, and two-way ability will have an immediate impact on our program! Can't wait to get him here!"

Daniil Glaskov | Guard | 6-5 | 210 | IMG Academy
Glaskov last played for the IMG Academy out of Bradenton, Florida. He grew up in Russia before the move to the States ahead of his high school career. He also played for the Lokomotiv Kuban Youth Team.

Valentine on Glaskov: "Daniil is an extremely skilled and dynamic playmaker with a physical frame to match. He's true student of the game and has a great passion towards perfecting his craft as a player. He's been very well coached throughout his basketball career so far. We see him making an immediate impact with his ability to create offense for himself and others. We can't wait to coach him!"
