CHICAGO - Loyola Chicago Athletics announced a multi-year sponsorship renewal with PNC Bank, the Official Bank Sponsor of Loyola Athletics since 2016. The renewed agreement continues the
PNC Achievers program, which celebrates student accomplishments and introduces new PNC branding at the Champions Club, an exclusive hospitality space adjoining Gentile Arena on Loyola's Lakeshore Campus. PNC will also enhance its commitment to financial education by offering on-campus workshops and resources to help student-athletes build strong financial foundations
PNC Achievers is a program dedicated to honoring students at more than a dozen schools and universities across the country. Since 2016, more than 40 Loyola students have been recognized with this designation. Honorees are selected locally by designated panels at each school, based on criteria that reflect the program's three pillars: academic achievement, community service and student leadership.
"We're thrilled to continue our relationship with Loyola University Chicago.
PNC Achievers is about distinguishing students who excel in the classroom and embrace leadership opportunities to impact the world around them," said Scott Swanson, PNC regional president, Illinois. "Our goal is to help students not only succeed academically but also gain the financial confidence they need to thrive beyond college."
The financial education program will be led by a team of experienced bankers who will collaborate with Loyola Athletics and Student Academic Services to deliver practical, engaging content on budgeting, saving, credit management, and student loan planning.
"PNC Bank has been a loyal and valued supporter of Loyola Athletics for many years, and we're proud to continue building on that relationship," said
Steve Watson, Director of Athletics at Loyola. "As our programs have grown, PNC has been right there with us—investing in our student-athlete's success and in the broader Loyola community. Our shared commitment to excellence, achievement, and service continues to drive this partnership forward, and we look forward to the positive impact it will have in the years ahead."
The renewed sponsorship and educational initiative will launch this fall, bringing events and resources to select groups of students and student-athletes. Throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, Loyola staff will select
PNC Achievers - students recognized for their academic, athletic, and community accomplishments - who will be honored during a special ceremony at a Loyola Athletics live event. The alumni honorees were chosen from the Loyola's Quinlan School of Business, Arrupe College and Loyola University Chicago student-athletes.
