CHICAGO — For the second event of their spring season, the Loyola Chicago women's golf team heads west to Rio Verde, Arizona for the Rio Verde Invitational on Feb. 20-22.
The tournament will be held at the par-72, 6,150-yard Rio Verde Country Club. Players are set to tee off with a shotgun start on Friday at 1 p.m. (CT). Second round action begins Saturday with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. (CT). Final round action starts Sunday with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. (CT).
Loyola will be joined in the 19-team event by host Western Michigan and its B-team, Central Michigan, Oakland, Akron, Ball State, Kennesaw State, Creighton, Xavier, Missouri State, Bowling Green, Utah Tech, Ohio, South Dakota, Illinois State, Bradley, Wichita State, and Butler.
The 2025 Rio Verde Invitational was won as a team by California Baptist, who ended with a score of even par, while the tournament was won as an individual by California Baptist's Pusanisa Ekkantrong with a score of -9.
The Ramblers' starting lineup for the week will consist of
Cassie Psuik,
Grace Hui,
Teagan Connors,
Grace Durkin, and
Madison Haugen. Last year, Psuik led all Ramblers at the Rio Verde Invitational, finishing in a tie for 21st place with a score of +7.
