CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago Athletics recognized student leader Emma Graves as a PNC Achiever at the men's volleyball match vs. McKendree last week. Joined by leaders from Loyola and PNC Bank, Graves was honored in a ceremony on court for her academic excellence, community involvement and leadership on campus.
Graves is enrolled in the honors program at Loyola's Quinlan School of Business, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resource management and marketing. She is among a select group of students recognized annually through the PNC Achievers program, which highlights emerging leaders who exemplify scholarship, service and leadership.
"The PNC Achiever recognition is grounded in a shared belief that leadership is developed through experience, service and opportunity," said Scott Swanson, PNC regional president, Illinois. "The program allows us to recognize students like Emma who are already putting those values into action and preparing to lead in their careers and communities."
Graves currently services as chief communications officer for Loyola's Student Government, where she leads strategic social media campaigns and works closely with executive leadership to shape campuswide communications. She also serves as a marketing and communications intern for Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine, producing digital content and managing social media platforms that connect students, faculty, and alumni.
In addition, Graves is president of the Quinlan Ambassadors, a role in which she leads outreach and recruitment efforts representing the Quinlan School of Business to prospective students and community stakeholders. Through her leadership, professionalism, and dedication to meaningful communication, Graves exemplifies the qualities recognized by the PNC Student Achiever Award.
Each academic year, Loyola staff select a small number of students to be recognized during Loyola Athletics events, providing a public platform to celebrate student leadership, while highlighting PNC's ongoing support for the school and its students.
