Ramblers Set for Chicagoland Championships This Weekend

CHICAGO – The Loyola University Chicago track teams are set to compete at the Chicagoland Championships this weekend, with Ramblers racing across a full slate of distance events on Friday and Saturday in Elmhurst, Ill.

Competition begins Friday afternoon at Langhorst Field with Loyola entered in both the women's and men's 5,000m races. The women's 5K (Section 1) will start at 2:00 p.m., followed by the men's 5K (Section 1) at 2:25 p.m.

The Ramblers will also compete in the women's steeplechase at 2:45 p.m. before turning their attention to the 1,500m races. Loyola will have entries in the women's 1,500m (Sections 1–3) at 3:25 p.m. and the men's 1,500m (Sections 1–3) at 3:45 p.m.

Action resumes Saturday with the 800m events. Loyola will compete in the women's 800m (Section 10) at 1:35 p.m. and the men's 800m (Section 13) at 2:15 p.m.

The meet concludes Saturday evening with the 3,000m races, as Loyola lines up in the women's 3,000m (Section 2) at 5:05 p.m. and the men's 3,000m (Section 2) at 5:30 p.m.
