Ben Wilson is in his fifth season as volunteer assistant men's volleyball coach at Loyola University Chicago.
 
During his time in Rogers Park, Wilson has helped guide Loyola to two NCAA titles, two Final Four appearances and two MIVA championships.
 
An alumnus of Loyola Men's Volleyball (1998-2000), Wilson was the first libero in Rambler program history. In his senior campaign, he led the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) and ranked seventh in the nation among NCAA Division I/II players with 2.74 digs per set. Wilson holds numerous spots in Loyola's all-time record books, including the No. 5 spot for digs in a single season (249), set his senior year. He also holds the number two spot for digs in a single game (25), recorded against Penn State (02/25/00). Additionally, Wilson ranks ninth in program history with 253 career assists.
 
A native of Wilmette, Ill., Wilson played his prep volleyball for nearby New Trier High School. In 1995, he helped his high school team capture the IHSA State Championship and was selected to the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times All-State teams.
 
Wilson's coaching duties include supporting the coaching staff in practice management, match preparation, and alumni engagement.
 
Ben and his wife, Amanda, live in Roscoe Village and welcomed their first child, MacAllister Joseph Wilson, on Oct. 4, 2014.
