Former Loyola standout Lauren Moore enters her fifth season as an assistant coach on Jeff Tylka’s staff in 2019. The Antioch, Illinois native works with the Rambler hitters and infielders.
The team's hitting coach helped produce unprecedented results from the starting nine at the plate, establishing new single-season team records for runs (239), hits (403), RBI (214) and batting average (.303). Three different Rambler hitters captured National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-District honors, highlighted by Allyson Ivey's First Team nods. Ivey, who set school records in batting average (.460) and RBI (54), also took home First Team All-MVC accolades and set the conference record for batting average in a season. Moore's helping hand also saw Shannon McGee set career highs in batting average (.397), runs (41), doubles (13), triples (5), home runs (3), RBI (30), slugging pct (.632) and OPS (1.100) as the outfielder captured All-MVC honors for the second consecutive season.
Moore helped the Ramblers to 23 victories in 2018, including a decision over Notre Dame, the program’s first win over a Power 5 conference opponent since 2016. Then-freshman first baseman Allyson Ivey and junior pitcher Kiley Jones collected NFCA Third Team All-Midwest Region honors, while McGee turned in one of the best offensive seasons in program history en route to First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference recognition. McGee hit .372 and struck out just seven times in 159 at bats. Off the field, Brooke Wilson was tabbed Google Cloud First Team Academic All-District, becoming the first Rambler to earn the accolade since 2013.
During the 2017 campaign, Moore helped a team picked 10
thin The Valley Preseason Poll finish with a winning overall record (27-26) for the first time since 2013 and earn its first MVC Tournament berth and victory since 2014. The Ramblers got off to a sizzling start, winning their first 14 games to set a program record for best start to a season and most consecutive victories and Erica Nagel finished her career ranked sixth on Loyola’s career chart with 169 hits.
In 2016, her first season on the staff, Moore’s tutelage helped Nagel to one of the best offensive seasons in Loyola and Missouri Valley Conference history as the outfielder hit a Loyola and MVC record .453 with 72 hits en route to First Team All-MVC and NFCA Second Team All-Midwest Region honors.
Off the field, Ashley Rogers was named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team and 11 Rambler softball student-athletes were named to the MVC Honor Roll.
As a player at Loyola, Moore was one of the most decorated hitters in program history, finishing her career with a .295 batting average, 38 doubles, 29 home runs and 124 RBI. A mainstay in the lineup at third base for four years, Moore was a First Team All-Horizon League and Second Team All-Great Lakes Region selection as a junior in 2013 when she hit .342 with a school-record 13 home runs and 42 RBI. During her senior campaign, Moore earned Second Team All-MVC accolades, helped the Ramblers to the MVC Championship game and was named to the MVC All-Tournament Team. She finished her illustrious career as Loyola’s all-time leader with 124 RBI and 648 at-bats.

First Team All-Horizon League selection and was named NFCA Second Team All-Great Lakes Region to become the first Loyola position player to earn all-region status since Ellen Kresl in 2008 ... Established a new Loyola single-season record with 13 home runs and fell two RBI shy of matching Becky Marx's single-season school record (44) ... Named Horizon League Player of the Week on February 26 ... The Ramblers went 10-1 when she homered ... Recorded 16 multi-hit performances and drove in three or more runs on seven occasions ... Closed out the season by hitting safely in the final eight games of the year ... In Horizon League action, hit .372 (29-for-78) with six homers and 20 RBI ...
