Alisha Macas

    Director of Sports Nutrition
Alisha Macas, a Chicago native, joined Loyola Athletics in August 2026 and currently serves as the Director of Sports Nutrition. In her role as a sports dietitian, Macas oversees nutrition services for all of Loyola Athletics' teams. Her responsibilities include provision of individualized nutrition strategies for Loyola student-athletes as well as nutrition education and collaboration with the sports performance team. 

Prior to joining Loyola, Macas graduated from the University of Missouri where she received both her bachelor's in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology and her masters in Dietetics. As a student, Macas worked with Mizzou Athletics, supporting nutrition for football, cross country, swim & dive, gymnastics, basketball, and women's soccer. After graduating, Macas completed a sports nutrition fellowship with the University of Notre Dame Football. Macas also has experience working in private practice, specializing in both sports nutrition and eating disorders/disordered eating.

Outside of work, Macas is an avid runner and triathlete, completing multiple marathons including Chicago and Boston, and even the 2025 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Marbella, Spain.Â
