Ben Colletti

Ben Colletti became an assistant athletic trainer at Loyola University Chicago in 2025, working primarily with the women’s and men’s volleyball programs.

Colletti spent the previous four years at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, where he provided athletic training services for the men’s and women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s golf teams. He played a key role in developing return-to-play protocols, injury prevention programs, and leading data analysis projects.

In addition to his collegiate work, Colletti served as an athletic trainer for the USA Volleyball men’s national team during the summers of 2022–24. In 2022, he traveled with the team to the XV Pan-American Cup in Gatineau, Canada, where the team earned a bronze medal. In 2023, he joined the team for the XVI Pan-American Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico, finishing fifth overall. In 2024, Colletti was the team’s physiotherapist for Week 1 of the Volleyball Nations League in Antalya, Türkiye, and later accompanied the squad to the NORCECA Final Six in Gatineau, where the U.S. won gold.

Colletti earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Illinois State University in 2019 and a Doctorate of Athletic Training from Indiana State University in 2021. While at Indiana State, he served as a graduate assistant and worked at Attica Junior-Senior High School in Attica, Indiana. A native of Willowbrook, Illinois, Colletti enjoys watching Chicago sports teams and spending time with friends and family.
