Seth joins the Ramblers from Carthage College where he served as Associate Athletic Director for Advancement. In his ten years at Carthage, he held various administrative and coaching roles. He served as the head men’s swimming and diving coach for several years and simultaneously transitioned to serve on the Athletics Senior Leadership team in charge of advancement efforts.
As a coach, Seth was a six-time College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year, and his teams won five CCIW Championships. An active member of the campus community, Weidmann served as Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID), and was the department liaison with several campus partners. In Seth's time overseeing advancement, Carthage Athletics saw substantial growth in annual giving, corporate partnerships, and golf outing revenue.Â
Before his arrival at Carthage the Evanston native was the Head Senior Coach and Community Outreach Manager at the YWCA Evanston/North Shore. Seth attended Gustavus Adolphus College, graduating with a Bachelor's in Communication Studies. As a swimmer for Gustavus, his teams won four Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships, while he was a three-time MIAC titlist and a CSCAA All-American relay team member. Seth holds a Master’s in Sports Leadership from Carthage College.Â
