Loyola University Chicago Athletics

Theresa Palmquist, a St. Louis native, joined Loyola Chicago's Athletic Department in August 2024 as an assistant director. She was promoted to Associate Director of Athletic Communications in September 2026, and oversees men's and women's volleyball and cross country and track. Palmquist also serves as the interim sports information director for women's basketball. 

Palmquist previously worked at the Fiesta Sports Foundation (formerly Fiesta Bowl) in Scottsdale, Ariz., as the Communications Seasonal Associate. For two seasons, she was a part-time staff writer with USA Lacrosse, reporting on high school boys and girls lacrosse in the West Region from 2024-25.

She graduated from the University of Arizona in May 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a double minor in Spanish and Govt. & Public Policy. As a media relations student assistant for Arizona Athletics Communications Services, Palmquist served as the primary sports information director for men’s and women’s tennis. She assisted in other sports such as basketball, football, soccer and volleyball.
