Now in his eleventh year in Rogers Park, Tom Sorboro oversees revenue generation for the department, including development, ticket operations, sponsorship, and licensing & merchandising. He also directly manages capital projects, HR, broadcast partnerships, strategic branding, and sport administration.
Sorboro came to Loyola after serving as a Senior Sales Executive and Associate General Manager for the Ohio State IMG Sports Network. While in those positions, he was responsible for developing and selling integrated corporate partnership agreements, in addition to providing direction and leadership for the property. In 2013, Sorboro was part of the Ohio State sales team that became the first in college athletics to drive more than 20 million dollars in sponsorship revenue in one year
After graduating from Bowling Green State University in 1992, Sorboro began his collegiate administrative career with a stint as the Director of Athletic Marketing & Promotions at Davidson College before moving into the basketball coaching ranks. After one season at Wayne State (MI), Sorboro was on the coaching staffs at Loyola (MD), The University of Michigan and James Madison University before heading into the corporate business world. He returned to college athletics in 2007 with ISP as the Associate General Manager at The University of Pittsburgh and East Carolina University before moving to IMG at Ohio State.
A native of Kent, OH, Sorboro and his wife, Janine, have three boys – Michael, Dominic and Christian.
