OCALA, Fla. - Behind the stellar play of both Lucy McGovern and Michelle Puch, Loyola University Chicago finished in second place at the Detroit Triangular at Red Tail Country Club today. Detroit claimed first place with a 633 and was followed by the Ramblers (649) and Youngstown State (678).
McGovern was dazzling for the second time in as many meets this spring, tying for second place with a 158 (78-80). That strong showing gives the freshman five top-five finishes already in her young career. Meanwhile, Puch was equally impressive on the spring trip and placed fifth with a 159 (82-77) after tying for second at the Grand Valley State Invitational earlier this week.
Kaitlin Kearney (81-81) and Rachael Sinnen (84-86) each earned top-ten finishes, taking seventh and tenth place, respectively while Jaclyn Zembrodt rounded out the Rambler lineup by finishing 15th with a 179 (90-89).
Loyola returns to the Midwest when it competes at the Butler Spring Invite, March 19-20.
