Loyola Men's Volleyball Announces 2007 Summer Camp Dates

March 19, 2007

CHICAGO - Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball is hosting a pair of summer camps in the Gentile Center this July, head coach Shane Davis announced. The Rambler Boys Volleyball Elite Camp takes place July 19 through 21 followed by the Skills Camp on July 26 through 28.

The Elite Camp is for players entering grades10-12. This camp allows players to experience competitive, college-style training with its limited size which ensures each player will receive a lot of individual attention. Players with varsity experience are encouraged to enroll.

Boys entering grades 8-12 are eligible for the Skills camp which will run from 1p.m. on Thursday, July 26 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 28 with a total of eight sessions for 20 hours. Players will gain valuable tactical and technical training in order to succeed at the highest level. The camp will focus on individual skills such as spiking, blocking, setting, passing, serving, and defense will be introduced and trained each day using component training and competitive drills as well as fun games.

Both camps will be held in the Joseph J. Gentile Center on Loyola University Chicago's Lakeshore Campus at 6511 North Sheridan Rd. Certified trainer Bryan Yonka will be on site at all times.

Applications to both camps can be found in the `Camps' section on the right column of the men's volleyball page at loyolaramblers.com. Register soon because requests are processed in the order which they are received.
