2012 Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational Final Results

PEORIA, Ill. - Senior Ann Vrdolyak shot a four-over-par 76 in today's final round as Loyola University Chicago moved up a spot to finish seventh in the 10-team Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational, which concluded with 18 holes of action today at WeaverRidge Golf Club. Northern Iowa held on to capture the team title with a score of 908, while the Ramblers notched a score of 980.

Vrdolyak was sensational in today's final round of competition, firing a four-over-par 76 to finish first among Loyola golfers, and tied for 22nd overall, with a 54-hole score of 242 (82-84-76). Sophomore April Ohlendorf also turned in an impressive performance, tying for 24th with a 243 (83-76-84), while Alexandra Meyers (89-76-85) and Carly Schneider (84-83-83) both tied for 37th with a 250. Rachel Mayer wrapped up the Ramblers' lineup with a 256 (85-87-84), which placed her 46th overall.

Three other Ramblers competed as individuals, with Christy Taugner placing 42nd with a 253 (79-92-82), Ashley Garrison claiming 50th with a 259 (86-87-86), and Carey Farley grabbing 53rd place with a 263 (98-80-85).

Brittany Atterbury of Northern Iowa earned medalist honors with a three-round total of 220 (72-69-79).

Loyola is back in action at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, April 14-15, in Bowling Green, Ohio.
