In Short...
Gabby Stoner hit a two-out, two-run single to give Bradley the lead and Loyola dropped the series finale, 3-1, to the Braves today at Laura Bradley Field in Peoria, Ill.
Coach Tylka Says...
"Bradley came up with the big, two-out hit today and we did not. We pitched well enough to give ourselves a chance but we did not take advantage of our opportunities."
How It Happened
+ Loyola struck first, getting to Bradley starter Jaelen Hull in the first inning, as Katie Kasubke drew a two-out walk and came around on a Brooke Wyderski double
+ Bradley answered back in the bottom of the second, loading the bases with one out against Keenan Dolezal
+ The freshman got a line out to third to get within one out of escaping but Stoner delivered a base hit to score a pair and give BU the lead
+ Wyderski singled to lead off the fourth but was stranded and the Ramblers got two-out hits in the sixth from Wyderski and Jacquelyn Murphy but could not push either runner across
+ The Braves added an unearned, insurance run in the fourth and Hull did the rest
Inside The Box Score
+ Wyderski went 3-for-3 at the plate to bump her average to .433 on the season
+ Hull allowed just four hits - three to Wyderski - two days after blanking the Ramblers on one hit in the series opener on Friday night
+ Dolezal allowed three runs (two earned) in 3.1 IP while Madison Hope was sharp out of the bullpen, pitching 2.2 hitless innings in relief
