Series Stuff
- The Ramblers and Kangaroos are meeting for the fifth time in a series that dates back to 2002. Loyola holds a 3-1 edge in the all-time series.
- This is the first meeting between the teams since December 13, 2008, when Loyola slipped past UMKC, 52-47, in Chicago behind 19 points from JR Blount.
- Loyola is making its first trip to Kansas City since December 22, 2007, when it dropped a 77-66 decision despite 24 points and 13 boards from Leon Young.
- Head coach Porter Moser is 1-0 all-time against UMKC.
- Three of the four previous meetings have been decided by single digits and Loyola is 1-1 all-time against the Kangaroos in Kansas City, with the lone win coming in 2003.

- UMKC is searching for its first win over a Division I opponent this season, with its losses coming at the hands of Wichita State and Kansas State.
- Dating back to last season, the Kangaroos have won eight of their last nine home games, including six straight, but have dropped three of their last four at Municipal Auditorium versus non-conference foes.
- Sophomore guard Isaiah Ross leads UMKC with 11.3 points per game, but is shooting only 31.4 percent (11-for-35) from the field this season.
