Ramblers look to finish Savannah Invitational unbeaten

Game Notes | Live Stats

SAVANNAH, Ga. (November 24, 2017) -
Loyola looks to complete a sweep of its four total games in the Savannah Invitational when it battles Kent State Saturday night. Over the last three-plus seasons, the Ramblers are 10-3 in multi-team events (MTE's), and in 2014-15, captured the title at the Las Vegas Classic, knocking off Texas Tech and Boise State. At 6-0, Loyola is off to its best start since going 7-0 to open the 2010-11 campaign. Loyola has started a season 7-0 just four times since World War II. The Ramblers are 11-1 in their last 12 games versus non-Missouri Valley opponents.

Series Stuff
Loyola and Kent State are meeting for the seventh time in a series that dates back to 1963. The Ramblers own a 4-2 edge in the all-time series. Loyola has prevailed in two of the last three meetings between the schools and this is the first time the Ramblers and Golden Flashes are squaring off on a neutral floor. When the teams last met, on November 29, 2014, in Kent, Ohio, Loyola escaped with a 69-61 victory, behind 16 points and seven rebounds from Christian Thomas. Loyola is 125-122 (.506) all-time against current Mid-American Conference members.
