CHICAGO (December 21, 2017) – Loyola University Chicago will close out the non-conference portion of its 2017-18 schedule when it hosts city rival UIC on Friday afternoon.  Tip-off is slated for 12 p.m. from inside Gentile Arena.  
 
Series Stuff

• Loyola and UIC are set to clash for the 64th time on the hardwood on Friday in Rogers Park.
• The Maroon & Gold holds a 33-30 edge in the 63 previous meetings, 39 of which came when the two were both members of the Horizon League.
• The two teams have not met since the 2014-15 campaign, when UIC rolled to a 63-28 victory at the UIC Pavilion behind a 24-point, 15-rebound performance from Ruvanna Campbell.

• UIC comes into Friday afternoon's matchup on a four-game winning streak that has seen it push its record to 7-3 on the year.
• In their most recent action, the Flames rallied back from an 11-point deficit to down visiting North Texas by a final score of 70-67 this past Monday on the West Side. Brittany Byrd poured in a game-high 24 points to lead UIC in the win.
• The pairing of Byrd (17.0 ppg) and Taylor Toney (14.9 ppg) have led the way on the offensive end for head coach Regina Miller's team during non-conference play, while Gabryelle Johnson leads the Flames in rebounding (7.7 rpg).
