CHICAGO (November 25, 2018) -Â Loyola, which has won four of its last five games versus nationally ranked opponents, welcomes No. 6/7 Nevada to Gentile Arena Tuesday night in a Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge Series contest. The game is a rematch of last year's NCAA Sweet 16 matchup won by the Ramblers, 69-68, in Atlanta. Loyola is 1-2 in Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge Series games, winning its only previous home contest in the event (vs. San Diego State in 2016). Loyola has won 18 of its last 19 home nonconference outings, with the lone loss coming at the hands of Furman earlier this month.
Â
Since Gentile Arena opened in 1996, Loyola has hosted just three other top 10 teams - No. 2 Michigan State in 2000-01, No. 5 Kansas State in 2010-11 and No. 3 Wichita State in 2013-14.

Loyola – Nevada - The Series
The Ramblers and Wolf Pack are meeting for just the second time and Loyola won the only previous encounter between the programs, besting Nevada, 69-68, in the NCAA South Regional semifinal in Atlanta March 22. Loyola overcame a 12-point first-half deficit to earn the win, with
Marques Townes burying a clutch three-pointer with seven seconds left to seal the outcome.
