CHICAGO (March 6, 2018) – Fresh off a 6-2 victory over Villanova on Sunday, the Loyola University Chicago softball team continues its spring break trip to Florida with seven more games this week, beginning with contests versus Northern Kentucky and South Dakota State in Clearwater tomorrow.
The Ramblers then conclude the trip by playing five games at the USF Tournament in Tampa over the weekend. Last weekend, Loyola kicked off the 10-day trip by going 2-3 at the EMU Madeira Beach Invitational, with both victories coming over Big East Conference foes (Seton Hall and Villanova).

Allyson Ivey have gotten off to torrid starts this season and each player brings a .372 (16-for-43) batting average into this week's action. Ivey leads the Ramblers with 10 RBI and has one of the team's two home runs on the year.
Junior
Kiley Jones continues to lead the pitching corps with a 6-2 record and a 1.69 ERA, while holding opponents to a .219 batting average.
Loyola returns to the Midwest and opens Missouri Valley Conference play next weekend when it plays a three-game set at Southern Illinois, March 17-18.
