Michigan defeats Loyola 2-0 in the Ramblers' final preseason match. The contest was called after one half due to inclement weather in Ann Arbor, Mich.
 
How It Happened
The Ramblers dented the stat sheet first when senior Fabian Lifka had a shot blocked in the fifth minute. Michigan responded quickly with a golden opportunity moments later with a shot that hit the post, and another one that went high.

The Wolverines capitalized on their next chance by way of Lucas Rosendall getting a pass and blasting it in the back left corner. The goal came in the 22^nd minute, and eight minutes later, Michigan scored again to increase the lead to 2-0.

Junior Josh Lagudah stood tall for the Ramblers by fighting off some difficult opportunities by the opposition. The Australia native made a diving save off a header in the 27^th minute, and made another snag off a Michigan free kick in the 32^nd minute.

Lagudah made one more save in the 34th minute and the pace settled down from there. After 45 minutes of play, inclement weather forced a delay to the beginning of the second half. The holdup turned out the be a precursor to the coaches and officials deciding the rest of the match will not be played.

Looking at the Numbers
-Michigan held a 12-1 shots advantage in the 45 minutes of play.
-Lagudah registered three saves in his half of work, tying his personal best this preseason.
-Michigan's last shot came in the 34th minute, resulting in a Lagudah save. Neither team was able to get a shot off from then on.

Head Coach Neil Jones and his team shifts their focus to the regular season with exhibition play now in the rear-view mirror. The Ramblers' schedule sees them back in the state of Michigan for the regular season opener on Aug. 24 at No. 14 Western Michigan. First kick is set for 4 p.m. central time.
