Loyola Athletics Announces Changes To Student Ticket Policy

Rambler students must claim a free game ticket in advance of men’s basketball home contests

CHICAGO (October 15, 2019) – After receiving feedback from students and various campus organizations, Loyola University Chicago Athletics has announced a new student ticket policy for men's basketball games effective for the 2019-20 season. Eligible Loyola undergraduate students must claim a free student ticket online in advance of the games in order to gain admission.

During game week, students will receive an email from Loyola Athletics on Monday morning. Via the link provided in that email, students can claim their free ticket online, thus activating their student ID for that game. Loyola students will have until 24 hours prior to tip-off to claim a ticket. All student tickets, which are non-transferrable, are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students can sign up for the ticket email list by clicking here.

Students will scan their activated ID at any Gentile Arena entrance beginning one hour prior to each home game. If a student does not claim a ticket in advance, he/she will be directed to a ticket window to check for any available student overflow seats.

Those students who claim a ticket but then are unable to attend the game can return the ticket prior to 24 hours before the game to avoid a penalty.

Loyola graduate and professional students will continue receive discounted admission to athletics events at the faculty/staff ticket rate.

For all other sports, Loyola undergraduate students can simply scan their valid student ID at the entrance gates for admission. Gates open one hour prior to all games unless otherwise noted. Student seating is general admission for all sports and for men's basketball games is limited to sections 101, 102, 103 and 113.
