CHICAGO (January 17, 2021) - Loyola brings a 16-game win streak at Gentile Arena into Sunday's finale of a two-game series with Missouri Valley Conference preseason favorite and defending regular-season champion Northern Iowa. The Ramblers have claimed 20 of their last 21 games overall in Rogers Park and since the start of the 2017-18 season are 28-2 (.933) at home in Valley play. A win Saturday would give Loyola a 5-1 start to MVC action for a third straight season. The Ramblers have won 14 straight home games in Valley play since a 65-61 setback versus Missouri State on February 17, 2019.
Last night, Loyola assembled a 31-8 run in the second half to erase a six-point de cit and pull away for a 72-57 victory over Northern Iowa Saturday night at Gentile Arena. The Ramblers forced 18 turnovers and got 40 points from their bench. Redshirt senior Tate Hall, who was coming off the bench for the first time in his career, scored a season-high 24 points to pace the Ramblers.
